The perfumer’s insight:
This perfume is an ode to the Orris butter, which is known for its wondrous processing method, where patience is the key, and its extravagant price higher than 24K gold per kg. The Orris root can only be used in a formulation after 7 years, three years are needed for its bulbs to properly grow below our feet, after which the rhizomes are let to dry for another three years and finally transformed into thin powder in the seventh year. The ‘Grand Cru’ Orris Germanica from Morocco, this specific Orris butter, high in Irones, has Chocolatey facets and none carrot facets.
I have used the Orris butter in an overdose, which is not common in the perfume industry, highlighted the powdery facets with the ‘Grand Cru’ Tonka, Mimosa, Amber, Oakmoss, and the ‘Grand Cru’ Sandalwood. This is the fragrance that reflects me; it embodies my style and personality in olfactive form. I handpicked my favorite materials, the creme de la creme of the perfume world and according to my thorough research, no one in modern times has used such a large amount of Orris butter in a fragrance formulation. A unique fragrance that stands alone and will make you grin ear to ear.
